Students of government school are sick after eating hot midday meal
An incident in which 36 students of a government primary school fell ill after eating midday meal took place at a government primary school in Gudisagara, Navlagunda taluk of Dharwad district.
In the government senior primary school of Gudisagar village of Navalagunda taluk, when children were served hot food this afternoon, around 36 children who had eaten the meal had vomiting and nausea due to the presence of lizard-like worms in the rice.
As soon as the incident came to light, the District Health Officer, the local health officer of the primary health center of Shalawadi, provided first aid and directed the students who were in critical condition to be shifted to the nearby taluk hospital.
District Health Officer Shashi Patil has informed that an investigation has been conducted regarding this incident and action has been taken against the staff.
He has made an announcement in this regard, as a worm like a lizard was found in the lunch served at Gudisagar Primary School today, some of the children who had the meal started vomiting. Some of the children said they were nauseous from fear.
